Look, decorating your home shouldn’t make you feel like you’re failing at something.
But for a lot of people, it does. Not because they have bad taste, but because every piece of advice online assumes you either have an interior designer on speed dial or a unlimited budget. Most people have neither.
Boho Decor Home exists for everyone in between. Real decorating advice that works in actual homes, with actual budgets.
How This Started
Jessica started this site after watching too many friends apologize for their own living rooms. “Sorry for the mess.” “I know it’s nothing special.” “I just don’t really know what I’m doing.”
She kept giving the same advice over and over — at housewarming parties, during apartment moves, in random text threads about whether a rug was the right size. Eventually it made more sense to just put it all in one place.
No design school background. No sponsorships from day one. Just someone who spent years figuring out what actually makes a room feel like home and wanted to share it.
What You’ll Find Here
Room ideas that don’t require gutting everything and starting over. Styling tips that work with what you already have. Budget-friendly finds that look way more expensive than they are. Honest takes on trends — which ones are worth trying and which ones you’ll regret in eight months.
We don’t write for people with a decorator on retainer. We write for people who just want their home to feel good without it becoming a second job.
What We’re About
- Keep it doable: You don’t need to renovate. Small changes, done right, make a bigger difference than most people think.
- No shame in a tight budget: We cover every price point because most people aren’t dropping $800 on a side table.
- Your style, not ours: Boho is a starting point, not a requirement. We help you figure out what actually fits you.
- Straight opinions: If something’s overpriced or overrated, we’ll say it.
The Person Behind It
Jessica Caldwell — Founder, Boho Decor Home

Jessica has been decorating spaces, her own and other people’s, long enough to know that the most beautiful rooms usually didn’t come together overnight. She’s made the bad purchases, gone through the phases, and slowly built a real sense of what works.
Her thing is making decorating feel less overwhelming and more like something you can actually enjoy — whether you’re starting with a blank apartment or just trying to fix one room that’s been bothering you for two years.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably at a flea market picking up something that has no business looking as good as it does.
